Main Characteristics:
- Habit: Evergreen, vigorous, twining climber with woody and flexible stems.
- Size: Can reach 6–10 m in height when supported properly.
- Leaves: Oval, leathery, glossy dark green; may turn bronze in winter.
- Fruits: Elongated capsules containing silky-haired seeds, not showy.
- Growth: Moderate to fast, with abundant, fragrant flowering from May to July, featuring small, white, star-shaped flowers.
Cultivation and Care:
- Exposure: Full sun or partial shade; tolerates partial shade but flowers best in full sun.
- Soil: Well-drained, fertile, neutral to slightly acidic; also tolerant of poor soils.
- Hardiness: Withstands temperatures down to -10/-12°C; moderately drought-tolerant and resistant to urban pollution.
