  • Bark: Dark and fissured on mature specimens.
Cultivation and Care:
  • Exposure: Full sun; tolerant of cold and strong winds.
  • Soil: Prefers well-drained soils, even poor or rocky ones.
  • Hardiness: Very resistant to drought and low temperatures.
  • Uses: Commonly used for slope stabilization, in alpine gardens, and for bonsai.
